Radio Station in Bahamas

How awesome is it that you can listen in on radio stations around the world through the internet? I was amazed when I saw the list of countries that I was able to access radio stations from. I chose a radio station in Bahamas called 100 Jamz, which is based in Nassau, Bahamas. Their website reminded me a lot of Boston's Jam'n 94.5 image. They both are hip-hop/rap stations. Also, the fonts and colors used on their website are similar to Jam'n 94.5's theme. I thought this similarity was very interesting considering that the Bahamas is so far away from the U.S and also so different in culture, yet our hip-hop radio stations have the same theme. I am very interested to look into more radio stations around the world. I find music and culture to be facinating.

This site does remind me of the KISS or the Jamn site its very colorful and busy unlike the on I found in France. I must agree that it is really cool to see all of the country’s that have radio streams that you can listen to. I think that we get so caught up in our life that we forget that we listen to the same music as other countries, or that it could be possible for them to have as much technology as we do here in the U.S

I agree with both jackie and ashley. Its absolutley amazing that you can actually listen to another radio station in another country and still here the same songs. It's something out of this world how global commmunications has expanded itself.
