NY Times Story about India's Sea Rise

"Sea Rise in India Buries Islands and a Way of Life" by Somini Sengupta was published on April 11, 2007 in the New York Times. I think this story did a decent job at capturing the local point of view. The story includes an interview with one of the locals, Shyamal Mandal. He talks about how the sea rise destroyed his house. I think there could have been more room for the locals views and stories on the sea rise. The story mostly focused on the scientists who spoke of their reasonings and researches of why India's sea is rising. However, the reporter did do a good job of giving the reader an idea of what the locals, along with Mr. Mandal have gone through due to the sea rise and how it has effected their lives. It would have been better though if he had their own words about it.
