Irish Echo Online Newspaper
Opening the webpage of Irish Echo, I first noticed the green color theme that was present. Obviously, green fits the Irish webpage well.
I was pretty disapointed with one of the articles on the website that had to do with the Virgina Tech massacre. It discussed how a group of Irish students "lucked out" by not being harmed during the shootings. It says "Call it fate, luck, whatever. A day or two later and a group of Irish students at VTech might have found themselves even closer to Monday's bloody massacre." I think that it is very selfish that this article is focusing on how Irish students escaped from being hurt during the massacre, when instead they should be paying respect to those who were not able to survive the massacre. Yes, it is great that these Irish students survived, but they should not be in the spotlight when 32 other innocent victims were killed. Instead, it would have been nice to see this Irish newspaper pay respect to those victims who were killed and their families, Irish or not.

This article is disturbing to me also. How could someone write something like this so soon after what happened? It’s almost like a mockery or a joke. Distasteful if you ask me.
